Father’s Day 2015

Father’s Day Feast:  Filipino- Style.

Celebrated the dads in the family – my brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law’s dad but mostly, this Father’s Day was in celebration of my elderly but still youthful daddy.

On the menu:

After church, my sister-in-law got carried away and cooked prawns in coconut milk, pakbet (fish with eggplant and okra), barbecued pork belly,  beef ribs and grilled fish. These were served with bagoong (shrimp paste), kalamansi (Philippine limes) and chicharon (pork skin).

We used banana leaves as tablecloth and plates. It was very Filipiana. Everything looked scrumptious but I only ate the prawns in coconut milk because it is one of my favorite Filipino dishes.

My dad was happy and we could only thank God that He has given us another year to celebrate my dad and all the dads in our family.
