100 Happy Moments and Simple Joys

     24. November Rain

During my walk to the train station this morning, it was no longer raining but there was still a light shower. The gentle little drops as they hit my face made me feel joyous inside. As I was walking, my lungs were filled with the fresh smell of leaves, fragrant flowers and wet earth. Rain always seems to wash the world anew to get rid of its grime.

I have always loved the rain since I was a little girl. Everytime it rains, the world just feels so much more lovely, clean and simple. Now that I am an adult,  a heavy rain makes me feel like all the ugliness has been washed away. That it is time for a fresh start each time it rains. And it makes me happy to imagine that the flowers are dancing because heaven has finally quenched their thirst.

Welcome to Deliciously. My warm and snug little space in this big, wild world. This blog is about my everyday life in San Francisco (where I work) and Oakland (where I live). I strive to live a life that is full of gratitude, coziness and simple joys. This is my personal journal and photo album where I post photos of lovely things that I capture on camera, travels and delicious meals that I share with my family and friends. Just a simple, happy blog. Thank you for stopping by! -- Leah
