Me Time: Saturday Lunch @ Cafe Bunn Mi (SF)
I am always craving the Duck Banh Mi at Cafe Bunn Mi. (A banh mi is a traditional Vietnamese sandwich with meat, pate and coleslaw.) Cafe Bunn Mi does not serve what one might consider authentic Vietnamese sando but rather Asian-fusion style. They are so delicious though. I finally had a chance to go back to Cafe Bunn Mi and indulge my cravings. I wish I could eat another banh mi (I would have ordered fish or tofu this time). I really enjoyed every bite of my duck sandwich. The duck skin was crispy and the coleslaw was sweet and sour. The bread was nice and crusty. A very enjoyable solo meal with hot tea. Until the next time I find myself in this SF neighborhood! A delicious “me time” treat!
