MONTEREY FISHERMAN’S WHARF

I have been to Monterey countless times. Usually it would be a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row but I have never been to Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf until our staycation last October.

I found Monterey Wharf smaller compared to San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. However, Monterey’s is more cozy, more intimate and less touristy. Even our lunch at the Old Fisherman’s Grotto was solid and very enjoyable. We did not feel ripped off unlike dining at SF’s Wharf.

We had fun strolling, browsing at kitsch stores, visiting the old salt taffy shop, admiring the rows of crabs and buying a couple of souvenirs.

NOTE TO SELF:

We did not get to visit the two museums but we will on our next visit. (And I would save room for a cannoli!)

A lovely Sunday in Monterey!

5 Hearts: I am in love!
